Amanda Becker from the Washington Post highlights several, of over 77 lobbying firms, who represented various interests in the hotly debated Food and Drug Administration Food Safety Modernization Act which passed in the Senate on Nov. 30th (73 to 25). Despite the passage, specific language within the bill is being reviewed and may contain a procedural inaccuracy which would force a revision and re-vote. If necessary, a re-vote is likely to occur in the next Congress and would provide even more lobbying work to firms as their services will again be in demand.
